(no subject)
hi everybody!!!
so yesterday was my belated thanksgiving, and i didn't burn the house down or anything. I cooked all day long and made all kinds of yummy stuff: turkey, squash casserole, cornbread/cookie, stuffing, carrots (a la hoya) pecan squares and apple pie--mmmmmmm. and i had over two friends, katie and joya to eat with us and spend the night. it was a lot of fun, compounded by the fact that i had champagne for the first time. i kept the cork, haha. followed by countless glasses of red wine...joya stayed sober-ish, but i think katie and i were more on the tipsy side. i mean come on, cheetos are not that funny. oh well, i don't think it was toooo obvious...hahaha. then i watched fight club, FINALLY. what a kick ass movie, wow. if you haven't seen it, ummm do.
Friday night, our school and my french brother's school had worked out this bowling party so we could meet french kids, and so 3 of us got paired up with three guys that were fun to talk to and stuff but slightly odd. One of them was super weird and insisted on explaining to me what he was studying and how important it was to work hard for the bac at the end of the year and how he was in the top of his class. all of this in depth. haha, def wasn't the highlight of the evening; i more liked the highfives after every gutterball from the other 2 guys there. We exchanged numbers but i dunno, its not like i'm that into any of them. haha school-run functions probably aren't the best ways to meet kids. going to bars and stuff is definitely the way to go--something the school wont tell you. anyways, that was the weekend, and now i have to go write an english paper on a journey. haha if you have had a journey with me that ended in one or more revelations/epeiphanies, i would love to hear, cuz i'm at a loss.
