(from smh.com.au)

This morning I did the City2Surf with Suzy and Ben* and 70,000 others. So crowded! It was enjoyable once I got going. We didn't make the time goal we had hoped for, but I'm okay with that. I am pleased I managed to run the whole 14km, including the dreaded Heartbreak Hill. Yay! :)

* Ben joining us was a surprise. He met up with us in the city after a night out. He did the whole run hungover, with no sleep, IN A PAIR OF THONGS. Show off! :P

Friday night I had dinner at the Courthouse Hotel with some pals and then went to see Mongol. Thanks for organising, Peter. Mongolia has now been added to my list of places I want to visit. Absolutely beautiful.

Yesterday I had brekkie at Vargabar (yay we managed to get a table!) with Suzy, Alice and Jamie. I had a delicious coconut+raspberry smoothie. Their drinks menu in particular, is fantastic. Will be back to try more.

Afterwards I poked around some shops on King St. [poke!] On the way home stopped in at some Enmore op-shops. I found two fabulous new coats. One a sort of trenchcoat thing with funky black buttons. The other, a brown jacket that comes to my waist and fastens with a single button. I almost didn't get either of them because even though I liked them, I had no second opinion. But the cool chick running the shop said she would tell me the brutal truth if I put them on and showed her, and she said they both looked great. I bargained the price down too - so I feel extra pleased about my purchases. :)

Last night was Jamie's housewarming. It was a fun night. I hung out with friends, met some new people, ate some cheese and samosas (turned out to be great race preparation!) and was a good girl and had no alcohol. Sadly, had to leave earlyish because of this morning. Happy Housewarming, jaqx0r! Hope you had a fun night. :)

This arvo I piked on my beer date (sorry, Peggy!) because I was feeling too tired from the run. Will catch up with Peg at Magic Dirt on Friday. Yay!

Earlier I spoke to Sasha for a little bit on skype - he seems to be having a fun time in Denver. Then called mum who was entertaining friends and my aunt and grandma. Sounded like they were all having a blast. :)

Now I'm sitting around listening to Peabody and Custard and wondering what to do with the last bit of my Sunday. It will probably involve a healthy tofu-based dinner and some teevee. Oh, and a chocolate paddlepop. :D
