OMG!

Tonight I got an email from JIGS - the Journal of Interdisciplinary Gender Studies - who I sent my first article to. The one based on the 2004 TASA conference paper.

It says:
I have the referee reports for you paper. Both feel that it is publishable with major amendments (comments follow). If you can address these and get your revised paper to me by 23rd June I would like to include your paper in the July 2006 edition of JIGS

Publishable!

OMG!

They list the amendments, which basically say 'duh, the second wave of feminism wasn't unified; read some more 1970s feminism; duh, Anne Summers doesn't represent 70s Australian feminsm". And I'm like, ok sure.

I wonder if it'll be easy to fix. I can barely remember what the article is about.

The reviewers say: This does not negate the essay’s argument but it does need reworking.

I've heard that noone gets accepted without revisions, so this is basically a really good sign! Needs reworking. Not 'rejected'. :D

In other exciting news, I was talking to my supervisor this evening at a celebratory thing for the new Dr Tamara. I think she offered me a chapter in her book!!! Or better actually, she mentioned the phrase CO-AUTHOR!

OMG!!!!!!

academia, paper
