i know aussie players never had a huge fandom following, but this little bb:



who i am writing abt in my cornerflag fic, idek. i watched an interview (and now i can’t find the link, ugh) where he was talking abt how he doesn't consider his champions league and fa cup medals great personal achievements because he "started, but hobbled off" and how because of that he really, really wanted to do well for australia in this wc and ughhh hindsight makes me teary :(
