GIP because pretty. I got to see Bernini's "Pluto and Proserpina" in person a few years ago, and I'm still in awe of what that man could do with solid marble. I've started using his "David", too, which I like even better; I've always thought it blows both Donatello's and Michelangelo's treatments of the subject out of the water.
Just sent off a job application. Not my first of the year, but as the last one (to a library in Oxford) was rendered moot when they told me they could only hire EU citizens, I've chosen not to regard it as a rejection. Fingers crossed.
ETA: New layout at my journal, too. I love the header photo but am a little worried the rest of it's too busy. Also, there's pink, and I'm not sure I quite approve of that.
