Sometimes, I love my job

Two things that happened today:

• I got a followup email from a request from my supervisor's supervisor, who wanted for completely legitimate work-related reasons to know how many of our team members watch Doctor Who. The followup email was to see if we were interested in helping create themed slides and jokes for an upcoming customer convention. (The answer was yes, if you were wondering. We are having actual meetings about this.)
• I got a call from the development lead on my new product, who had just received an RFP from the of and had been asked by our CEO to come up with some creative ways the prospective customer could use our product to identify anonymous human remains. I got to spend a good part of the afternoon researching forensic dentistry and trying to come up with something really clever.
