It's not that I enjoy working fourteen-hour days. It's just that every so often our developers decide my job description includes mindreading, and then I have to spend half my day trying to figure out why the code I'm testing isn't working the way I thought it would, and then the other half retesting everything because, as it turns out, their setup instructions left half the configuration details out.
Document your code changes. If I can't work out what's meant to happen, do you really think our customers will be able to?
Also, why is it that the best plot ideas--you know, the ones that keep rattling around in your head and won't give you any peace, the ones that have to be written--always come when you don't have five minutes to rub together? *shakes fist at sky*
On the bright side, they're really great plot ideas.
My work deadline is Thursday morning, so I only have another day and a half to stress about this. And hey, maybe LJ will be back up by then.
