I've been playing around with the Drabble-matic on
http://www.prillalar.com/drabbles/ for the past hour or so and some of the things it's come up with hilarious. This is the best version, I think it sounds quite plausible as a Who fic!
The Awesome Terror Of The Snow
It snowed a foot overnight. When they woke up, Rose and the Doctor went out to play. First, they made snow angels. Then they had a snowball fight and Rose hit the Doctor in his hand with a big fantastic iceball. It hurt a lot, but Rose kissed it smoothly and then it was all better.
Then they decided to make a snowman.
"We'll make a really bizarre snowman!" Rose said.
"Why don't we make a snow woman instead?" The Doctor said. "That would be more beautiful and politically correct."
"I know," Rose said. "We can make a snow Babelfish. That way, we don't have to worry about gender politics."
So they rolled the snow up beamingly and made an out-of-this-world snow Babelfish. Rose put on a TARDIS for the eyes. The Babelfish was almost as big as the Doctor.
"It looks weird," Rose said giddily. "But it seems like it's missing something."
"Here," the Doctor said and held up a futuristic sonic screwdriver. "I found this on a completely different planet in a totally other universe." He put the sonic screwdriver onto the Babelfish's head.
It was perfect. For about a minute. Then the Babelfish, even though it was just made of snow, started to move and growl like a huge big incandescent ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey.... stuff.
The Doctor screamed speedily and ran but the snow Babelfish chased him until he tripped over a tree root. Then the snow Babelfish ran him completely un-seriously.
"Nobody does that to my little Brilliant Converse," Rose screamed. She grabbed an icicle and stabbed the snow Babelfish through its two hearts. It fell down and Rose kicked it apart until it was just a bunch of snow again.
"You saved me!" The Doctor said and they shared an embrace in the snow before going in for hot chocolate.
The sonic screwdriver lay in the yard until an alienesque child picked it up and took it home.
