I was just reading another fanfic when something in it made me stop and think. It's regarding when Harry and Draco first met in Madam Malkin's shop and says that Draco tells Harry that his mother is off looking at wands for him. I'm at work so I don't have my books here with me to check but it just seems a bit odd as the wand choses the wizard,

Hey. Stumbled across your LJ...Harry RULES!!! lol I'm Erin...an HP fanatic...and yes, the wand chooses the wizard. So that would be a little weird...oh well.

I actually was just about to say that I'd checked up in the book earlier and Draco actually says that his mother is just looking at wands, not that she's getting his. So obviously the author of the fanfic I was reading had got it wrong. Bit of a shame as it was rather a vital point in their plot. Thankfully my beta's would never let me get away with making a mistake like that *hugs her betas*
