(no subject)
Alright. Chick #1 is taking the apartment as of June 1st. 2 weeks notice has been given, last day is next Saturday the 27th, whereupon we will be having a party at Erica's house. I intend to drink ridiculously so that I can give everyone big sloppy goodbye hugs and grab their asses. Hey, it's what I do.
After that, my options are as follows:
A: get everything together and leave ~ June 2nd for Seattle, get there in about 4 or 5 days, crash with Meg until I find a place. Difficulty: Meg is due June 20th and is already caring for an autistic 3-year old, plus her parents are coming to stay and help with the baby. Also need to buy plane tickets for the June 30th wedding in Charlotte. Too late for a June 1st lease.
B: live at Erica's for a week or two, then drive down to Mom's and stay with her until the wedding, then drive to Seattle July 1st. Bonus: save plane tickets and 1/2 month's rent and get fed for free (Pulte is putting Mom up in deluxe suites with food included until her house is ready) Difficulty: summer classes start June 25th (online), too late to sign a July 1 lease. Meg will have her 3 year old plus a newborn if I need to crash there.
C: live at Erica's for an extra week or two so she can drive cross-country with me. Same difficulties as A, but slightly less scary. Possibility of being less of a pain for Meg by splitting a hotel with Erica.
I'm leaning towards A. It makes the most sense, but costs me the most money. Poo.
Also, Greenpeace is hiring fundraisers in the University District. Promising.
I should go to work.
