Hooray! I got a new job this morning. I have PTO to burn so I'm taking a lazy day (already said I'd be late) to draft my letter of resignation and make a real lunch. I could start Tuesday if I want to, but my current supervisor is good people so I'm willing to work an extra couple of weeks if it means not screwing him over.

Pros:
-WAY better hours (Tuesday through Saturday 8:30 - 2:45)
-fundraising for liberal causes (it's partially owned by the democratic party)
-won't be calling poor people and threatening to cut their power if they don't pay
-apparently very fun place to work with low turnover
-after a few months I should be getting fairly decent bonuses
-right across the Birmingham Bridge in South Side, a very short & easy commute

Cons:
-Huge pay cut at first (about 2.00/hour base pay & add 2.00 for my usual bonus)
-It's not *really* commissions based but my bonuses depend on the project as a whole making its goals, so if everyone does their job I make bank, but if they don't I don't get nearly as much
-Probably won't be able to afford coachella considering I'll already be spending several hundred dollars on plane tickets to visit schools, unless I get some really frickin nice student loans (although this may be possible).

Tonight: Party on Penn Ave
