Concurrently clogged and running

My difficulty is not writer's block... more like writer's clog. I get too hung up on chronology and writing about the "Big-moments-of-life." I assume I can't post about now because I haven't written about the Wildlife Society conference in Snowbird, UT (I gave a talk and made a Mormon joke and it was awesome) but I can't write about that until I write about my trip to Seattle, and before that the summer in Arcata, and before that the Ithaca wedding (I kidnapped the bride at sword point and dueled with the groom and it was awesome), and before that about surveying for Megapodes in the Marianas, which I can't write about because that was just SO HUGE AND WILDLY AMAZING I COULD WRITE 10 PAGES (I know that's true because I have written 10 pages).
I am backlogged to a standstill by the megapodes. How silly.

But backlog is only the half of it. Between tossing drafts of my thesis to the fierce (but helpful) pen of my advisor, grading papers and TAing, taking two classes, getting my bird bander's certification, preparing for the conference (oh wait I can check that off), writing paper #2, trapping jays (I admit it that one is falling through the cracks), and gathering data for a totally new analysis (paper #3), I may be in danger of finishing this semester totally burned out and jobless.

*smacks forehead* Right. I have to figure out what comes next.

I didn't mean to get so overextended this semester. I just got anxious because this might be my last opportunity to take classes at this nifty school and there's still so much to learn and I want to be a well-rounded biologist person so I can find work and stuff because jeez anyone hiring wants you to wear five hats at once... and I thought if I kept busy I wouldn't notice the nine-hour time difference (it is effective).
As SleeplessEvil said, "Wait, you're TRYING to be busy!? You of all people? Good lord, what were thinking?" >.>

I am still optimistic that things will work out. At least my thesis went to my committee members yesterday, so that's one huge step toward graduating.
Over and out...
