Well the dentist went ok, but there are three things to talk about:
- I now need two fillings on my back teeth. This is probably because I've been unable to brush them properly because I can't open my mouth wide enough. I've always had very weak teeth and have had a countless number of fillings over my years. I've luckily escaped having any the past 5-odd years, but I guess not being able to brush them properly at the back has caused problems.
- About my jaw, there's still swelling at the back of my gums but he said I don't need any more antibiotics - Just gentle mouth exercises (hmmm... sounds interesting!). He said that if I'm still having problems opening my jaw when I go back for my fillings in November then he's gonna write to Whiston Hospital so they can think about widening it.
- Although he previously stated that my wisdom teeth were growing in a good position and shouldn't cause problems, he now thinks there's not enough room. The term "coming in sideways" also worried me slightly. He said he is going to decide whether I need them out or not when he next sees me.
It's now been 7 weeks and 3 days without being able to open my mouth wider than a centimetre or so. Buggery!
