My date with Michael went really well. We both had a good time. It's just a shame it was ruined at the end by two knob heads who want to attack random people passing on the street.
We were walking down Lord Street, both eating a Subway, towards Mount Pleasant where my mum usually picks me up from town. As we were walking past Bhs a couple of guys approached us. I could tell right away that they were no good. They were asking us for money, to which we replied we had none, so they asked me for a bite of my Subway so I refused. They wouldn't let us past, and when we tried to walk around them they attacked us. Although I knew they were trouble, it still kinda caught me by surprise when he hooked me in the jaw. They guys were both a lot larger and stronger than me, and I knew that if I fought back too much I'd do some damage to them but they'd end up fucking me a lot worse. I thought the best thing to do would be to just defend myself until they got bored. I was quite pleased with how I defended myself, I blocked most of his punches, only a few got through my guard and I'm trained to take a beating anyway. He was also trying to take out my kneecaps, but I could defend myself against his legs no problem.
Unfortunately the other guy got Michael on the floor and was kicking him. I tried to help Michael so I ran up to him and hit the other guy, but then I had the two of them on me. I backed off a little and one of the guys went back to Michael, kicking him again before he could get up. I tried to help Michael again but the other guy was laying into me too much and I couldn't get to Michael to help him.
They claimed to have knives, but luckily if they did they didn't get them out on us.
The guys eventually got bored when they realised I wasn't going to give up my wallet or my bank account details (as if I even know them off the top of my head anyway, stupid twats), and I think they realised that they weren't gonna get me on the floor.
Although I didn't really fight back, I threw a few punches but not too many, I was very pleased with how I defended myself. I just wish I could have helped Michael more. I knew if I had fought back properly both me and Michael would get a much worse beating than we already were getting, and the best thing for me to do would be to just let them get whatever they had against us out of their system, and block as much as I could.
There's no serious harm on me or Michael. Michael was quite bloody, but apart from a black eye, a sore nose and a few bruises he is fine. I have a swollen and bruised cheekbone, a few scratches under my eye, my nose is really sore but I don't think it's broken again, my jaw is really sore and I can't open it very wide, and a few back teeth feel a little out-of-place so I'll be seeing the dentist sometime through the week.
The attack had nothing to do with us being gay, the word wasn't mentioned and it's not like me and Michael were holding hands in such a public place. They were just two knob heads out looking for trouble. Me and Michael were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The worst thing is, I lost my Subway!!! I wish I had hit him across the face with my footlong - how funny would that be :oP
