Day 2: Assembly Hall

Nov 03, 2009 02:50

I'm really disappointed with today's effort. I blame it on period pain. I know that you just have to deal and should try to push through it, but unfortunately when I try to work through my period pain it tends to end in tears. Literally.

So this afternoon I just had to take some pain killers and then spent a couple of hours tossing and turning trying to find a comfortable position while waiting for the pain to go away. *sigh*

The only plus is that I still managed to get something done, which I suppose is better than nothing.

Word Count:
Today: 807
Overall: 2,204

Excerpt: Mr. Harker has been telling Li the rules of RSG.

“Now that grabbed your attention,” he remarked drily. I didn't say anything so he just continued on. “I'm sure you've heard that this year Rising Sun Grammar has admitted human students for the first time. As such it means that everyone needs to be more careful than ever. After all, I'd really rather not have any students dying on my watch.”

I let my head fall to the side. Keeping my eyes fixed on Mr. Harker's I lifted my legs and crossed my feet on his desk. His smile tightened slightly as his eyes shifted to the dirt on the bottom of my boots. “Oh, sorry sir,” I said. “This isn't making you uncomfortable is it?”

“Feet. On the floor. Now.”

I raised my hands in defeat. “Easy there Mr. Harker,” I replied with a smirk. “No need to get shirty with me.”

Quote of the Day:
Li: So, no biting, no blood sucking, no killing. Got it.
