The Car Issue

So you all know that I had an accident a couple weeks ago, yes?

Right.

So I'm in the process of getting it fixed. I bought new parts for it (needed new bumper bar, retainer for behind the bar, and new grill) which cost me $230. Then I booked it into a panel beater and I had the parts delivered to them. I dropped my car in yesterday when it was booked, thinking that in a couple of days (and after paying another $550) it would be all fixed up.

Anyway I got a call from the panel beater this afternoon saying that the parts that were delivered to him weren't right. Apparently the retainer backing thing is completely wrong. *sigh* Which means that tomorrow I'm going to have to go see the guy I bought the parts from, make sure he didn't deliver the wrong thing, and if he did deliver what I bought then I'll have to get something different since it's not going to work. Grrr.

And then there's the car that I hit. The guy who owned the car called me up last Tuesday to get my insurance details. Now I don't have insurance (I only have a green slip which only covers me if someone is injured in the accident, and no one was) and I told the guy that. So I told him to get some quotes for the damage and give them to me and I would pay to have his car fixed. That was over a week ago and he still hasn't gotten back to me. Stupid guy. I'm going to be pissed if he goes ahead and gets his car fixed and then comes asking me for the money. If he does do that then I'm going to refuse to pay. Cause I went about things the right way. I asked him to get quotes but so far nothing.

*shakes fist at entire situation*
