Is there any point in celebrating such a pointless, trivial holiday? Didn't anyone ever consider that this "holiday" is just another way to rob you blind of your hard-earned money? Really, it's nothing more than crass commercialism. There's much more sentiment in just spending time together with a loved one than anything else. Therefore, there is no need to spend a small fortune on roses, chocolate, singing telegrams and whatever else seems to go floating into people's heads at this time of year.
