The chocolate covered peanut butter ball is softly squished between my tongue and the upper jaw. I should be long ago abstaining from chocolates to reach back to the size I’ve lost some years ago but instead I marvel at the warmth and the taste of this particularly noteworthy chocolate. My brain is pleasantly void of emotions or of feelings that reach beyond the taste buds of my tongue. I feel especially privileged sitting here, thinking of almost nothing while rolling the candy in my mouth.

In another 2.5 hours I will be back at the house stripping the wallpaper and later reading a fascinating book by the name of “Case for Israel” by Alen Dersjowitz. This political essay is masterfully written without being completely one-sided. I will however, read an antonym of it later on, an equivalent of “The Case for Palestine”. I suspect that after reading it, I will be completely ready to never again enter another Arab-Israeli debate as they are utterly useless. I can’t understand how one can call themselves a liberal but in the same time manage to take a one-sided approach. Doesn’t a liberal attitude demand a lack of bigotry and understanding of all parties involved? Subconsciously, I equate the word liberal to being informed. However how can one be entirely informed in a conflict that spans over thousands of years, involves societal and religious differences on top of the all the socio-economic changes? To every pro argument there is an immediate one against it. So how does one make their pick and in this case, and yes it is merely a pick, as both parts have done their equal half of evil. Maybe it does come down to deeply rooted discriminations after all. I hate to use the prejudice card but admit it; we are all prejudiced against something. Some are prejudiced against race or color, others against a social class, and who is not prejudiced against what is commonly known as ‘white trash’ for example. So how do you pick? Beats me.

2 hours are now left. Chocolate is gone and I am reallllly thirsty!
