The word might as well have four letters for all the meaning it had at Seattle Grace. For all the jumping around that she does, she knows that it’s something she strives for, subconsciously at least. There’s an appeal to it, something that makes her want to experience it for herself. It wouldn’t be like Izzie crying because Alex has cheated on her again, or Cristina flipping out over Burke’s key. It’ll be like. . .
As Derek and Addison walk by, holding hands and discussing tentative dinner plans, Meredith’s stomach churns.
Perhaps commitment isn’t something she cares about after all.
