Summary: A quick drabble on Excella's POV during the "Two... on two..." XD fight.

Redfield's face was priceless.

As soon as Valentine was revealed, his expression had absolutely crumbled, all traces of that tough guy persona dropping faster than his guard. Excella's smirk stretched when he actually lowered his gun. Honestly, this was the man with whom their reliable B.O.W.s, with whom Albert, had had such a difficult time? And for all their failures, it had taken only a glance of this woman to make him vulnerable.

Excella admired Albert for many reasons, but his sense of basic human nature wasn't all that bright -- compared to her own, anyway, but that was being a bit unfair --; she had suggested using Valentine from the beginning, as opposed to all this from-the-shadows play that he was so fond of, but he'd insisted on continuing as he had. Now, standing proudly by his side, she watched as Valentine took off at a subtle command, slamming into Redfield with enough force to make his rough loss of breath audible throughout the entire room. Leaning over to speak close to Albert's ear, Excella purred sweetly, "Perhaps... you will not be so quick to disregard my advice from now on." That earned just the slightest tilt of his head in her direction; his eyes were still on the battle. "Don't be long," she drawled, and turned with a brush of her hip against his, her fingers drawing brief lines over his exposed forearm.

As she waited for the elevator, Excella glanced over her shoulder, the beginning of a self-righteous sneer finding its way onto her lips: Redfield was already making the mistake of thinking he could get away without harming his old partner. As she watched, he dove aside to dodge a hail of bullets, disregarding the opening that would have allowed him to catch Valentine off guard with a return shot of his own.

Sad, facing betrayal. Even sadder would be when he finally acknowledged it, assuming he lived that long. Not that he deserved to; dying here at her hands was mercy in more ways than one. Only the ignorant allowed something like love to become a weakness, anyway.

Not that Excella knew the feeling.
