By the time Sasuke completed the first of Orochimaru's endurance sessions - a three-day straight survival test, basically, in which Sasuke was thrown outside by himself and pitted against a number of invisible enemies - his eyes were positively burning. Fatigue and lack of sleep were part of it, but the strenuous and constant use of his Kekkei Genkai had proven more demanding than expected. He made it back to the lair and down to Kabuto's laboratory, but no farther; Kabuto had only just turned around to greet him when the ground suddenly rushed up, courtesy of Sasuke's exhausted muscles finally collapsing.
