Mad Men: Public Relations

Can I say I kinda hated this episode? Because I did. I mean everything's fine and dandy in the beginning--Don's still being cryptic and mysterious, Roger is still inappropriate, Pete is still an ass-kisser and the new office is cool but then everybody started TALKING. Shell, it obviously makes sense that you only like the lies and anguish, so on, so on, because you love to sit there and see the bad stuff happen and be like 'yup, that's how it is. The world sucks people.' in a matter of words.
Oh and don't freak out over the Peggy thing. I hate her too now that she's, as you put it, 'confident.' It is, no, not the same thing, but similar to Pam on The Office. They don't get confidence they get mean and pompous. And then you hate them. If confidence = arrogance, then I want to be a loser forever. And all the losers should stay losers. Why do they need to change to fit in?
It is only the first episode you know. Sal is supposed to come back you said, right? I'm sure it will improve, even just a little. But, hey, worst comes to worst you can always write a fanfic. That would definitely have plenty of people blackmailing, cheating, lying, watching cartoons, being creepy with the babysitter, and get run over by John Deere lawn mowers, except in the face instead of just a foot. Shell: 'PSH! HE CAN LIVE WITH OUT A FOOT! NEXT TIME SLASH HIS VERTEBRAE WITH A CAN OPENER OR SOMETHING! OR CALL BUFFY.
This will sound very odd for your universe-deprecating nature, but just be hopeful for the future. Then even the smallest improvement will feel so much better.
p.s. You'll always have MERLIN
