Introduction post
Hi, I'm Pen Name, and I'm a writer. /waits for response, AA-style/ So it's been close enough to nine months since my last writing binge that I'm hoping this competition lets me give birth to something truly interesting.
I'd had this novel idea, well not so novel, but that's the right word, kicking around in my head for years. I thought I knew how it was going to end too.
I was wrong. I was completely and utterly wrong. I was so completely and utterly wrong that my working title was recently fired. Last I knew, it was making its way to New York City, dreaming of bright lights and Broadway nights. I hope the little guy makes it, some day.
Meanwhile, I've gone back to page one, line one.
Correction. I've still got the characters. I know where they came from, their history, their motivations. I think I've got where they're going, though they've already fooled me once.
What I don't have are the interesting bits about how they get from where they were to where they're going. I have absolutely no idea if this is going to work for me or not.
