So - Spain won. The WORLD CUP. Yeah, I know - awesome. Unless you were cheering for the Netherlands...(why???) which I wasn't. So I have the right to cheer. Go Spain.
I don't even speak Spanish. But that's okay.
Very little is going on in my life right now...so it makes writing this a little difficult...but I've got nothing better to do, so I can at least attempt it.
We got back from camping today...mhm. Our site was right by Lake Michigan, so that was actually pretty cool. The water was calm, and warm (well, about as warm as Lake Michigan ever gets). My brother and I walked way out to the drop off...you know. That spot where the water suddenly gets way darker, going from golden-blue to navy. Yeah. We walked out there, and in about two steps, the water went from our waists to our necks, and it dropped about ten degrees. It was...cool. Weird. Surprising. All three?
The weather was also nice, which is totally a plus. It's been raining a lot lately. Come to think of it, it's raining right now. Pouring. We're supposed to get a thunderstorm tonight...ohhhhh. Maybe they'll cancel swim. That would be nice.
Rain still kind of shocks me. I know, that sounds really stupid...but when you grow up in the desert, precipitation is kind of an unknown substance. We never saw rain in AZ. Ever. Like, twice a year, and it was always a really big deal. It would rain during class, and teachers could never get anything done. Word would travel in a buzz around the room - "hey, it's raining." "Oh my God, it's raining!" "Do you hear that? It's raining outside!"
I like rain.
Mehhhh...I miss...people. It's been a long day.
Listen to that thunder...
