I get so frustrated with Dean thinking that he's always so dumb, and I hate that in the show sometimes, when presenting new info they info they have Dean look like an idiot. Like in the X-Mas talking about the pagan influences, and Dean being totally clueless. I know they need to present info to the audience, but for once can't they have Sam be stupid? :Sheepishly grins, and shyly steps off the soapbox.: Great chapter by the way.

Personally, I don't think Dean is stupid. I think he's very focused on the things that interest him. He's good with technical stuff, he's street savvy, and when it comes to hunting, he's very smart.

In S2, he was the one who knew all the hoodo refrences in the blues music, and Sam didn't.

And I'm going to do some brain surgery (metaphorically speaking) on Dean in this one. So he may come out the other side with a bigger self image. We'll just see.

:Splatters on the floor from sheer duhness: I totally forget about the hoodoo. I never thought Dean was dumb, he just applies it in a different way than from Sam. Hope the brain surgery goes well!

You never know. Dean's stubborn. Plus he resists when you start trying to saw the top of his head off. XD

Series

This section is great because it's so so so reminiscent of the show (as in,the boys (plus Chloe) working on a specific case) while still dealing with the issues that have been brought up throughout this series. I reminds me a lot of what Kripke tends to do: create a large, overwhelming issue, deal with it for a few episodes, and then throw in a random case to ease the tension. But in the end, he still puts us back into the overwhelming situation (just so that we know he didn't pull a Smallville and forget about story arcs).
That's totally what you've done with this and it's great. Reading your work is like reading a script from the show!
