Well you have to give Dean credit for trying to think with his upstairs brain. Plus you've got to love that he has "a tiny little editorial corner of his brain that sounded suspiciously like Chloe." DEAN!!

Though Sammy with his with his disapproval definitely wins this chapter. ;-)

I rarely get the chance to comment what with a three year old and three MONTH old (he REALLY needs to learn the value of SLEEP) but I love your writing. I can hear their voices so clearly, and the written picture you paint actually plays in my head like a movie. I never enjoyed Dean with Chloe- matter of fact it made me shudder.... until I started reading your stuff. So major kudos to you and I can't wait for the next post. =)

Dean's downstairs brain is gonna get him into sooo much trouble especially when dealing with someone like chloe whose self esteem has just been wrecked, thank you clark kent. I think he may need the tables turned on him, maybe by introducing a character who is absolutely infatuated with Chloe and is as uncensored as Dean is in showing it...*cough* Bart Allen *cough*

I've been gradually developing that throughout the series. I think you get to see a bit of that anytime I have Ollie Queen in the room (although it's totally in Dean's mind).

But it serves to hammer home for him that he's not really that casual about chloe.

And to be fair to Clark, Chloe did a lot of that wrecking herself. Clark has always been completely up front about the fact that he is all about the Lana. The way I see things, in this fic, Chloe and Clark have managed to keep their friendship intact, largely because Chloe got over Clark.

She would be the first to admit that she has issues, and they've played out in a larger sense in the snail's pace that her relationship with Dean has progressed.

But the way I see it, the both of them are compeletly broken. And broken in very similar ways. So their coming togeather as a couple is, in many ways, about growing, and healing, and fixing.
