Thank you! I have such a tendency to pair her with people for whom banter possibilities are maximized. Clark can be fun, because he's strait man to Chloe's Snark. But It's more fun when you get an equally snarky character in the same room with Chloe. :)

Thanks. Since you don't know Highlander, this is probably what you missed:

Methos is the oldest of the immortals. The wrist tattoo he's referring to is an identifying mark. Each immortal is secretly assigned a mortal watcher who covertly tracks their movement (I have no idea why). The watchers wear the wrist tattoo.

Methos has survived as long as he has partially by posing as a watcher, and using those resources to track other immortals and to stay out of their way.

So Methos was basically suggesting that Chloe infiltrate the watchers.

Glad that you liked the story without knowing all of that.

Methos has in the past used the watchers council to give him an edge in staying out of the game. I wouldn't put it past him to want someone he could trust on the inside, watching his back or helping him out.

Cute story, but where is Clark? If I understand, he is also immortal without being Immortal. He is Kryptonian, he can live to be hundreds of years old.

I have plans for Clark. Not exactly plans that Involve Chloe, however.
