So I saw Man Of Steel
Despite the fact I hardly ever get to see movies anymore thanks to the baby, hubby and I got a babysitter and went to see Man of Steel.
Without being too spoilery, I'll say I like it - better than the most recent Superman movie.
It's obvious to me that Christopher Nolan's hand was in it, because the fight scenes were a little too drawn out. And I think they made a mistake in having the fight scenes take place directly in populated areas. In my opinion, Clark would try to move a fight out of a populated area and into the rural areas, or space in order to avoid collateral casualties.
Smallville fans will notice some definite callbacks to the show, Including a roundabout reference to Chloe Sullivan (blink and you'll miss it) a direct reference to Whitney Fordham, and in her one scene, Lana Lang is sitting next to an Asian girl Which is, I think, a direct reference to Kristen.
Overall I liked the movie.
