The Cleanse Day 6: Traveling again

Mar 22, 2009 22:41

Sorry this is coming so late.  I didn't have a good time or place to post before now.  Got out of bed at 9:45 this morning after staying up into the wee hours of the night morning yesterday.  I had a 10:00 reading (which went fabulous). and since we were the last panel of the night, a bunch of the authors hung around the room shooting the breeze.  (this was an odd con in that the paneling lasted until midnight.  However the hotel leveed a $50 fee for any room having a party, so there were no room parties at all.  Which probably accounted for the late paneling).
Once I got up, I had just enough time to juce my lemons, load the car and check out before sitting in for my hour on Professional's row.  I couldn't have asked for a better time or place.  All of Yard Dog's copies of Tranquility sold out, so between selling my own personal stock, as well as copies of Wolfsongs I, I made enough money to actually cover my expenses at this con.

By 3:00 we packed up, and made the trip home.  I had enough juce to get me here, which was nice.

I don't really reccomend doing this cleanse if you're about to have a schedule as packed as mine was this weekend, but it's definitely doable.  I know it's been said that you have no cravings, but that hasn't been the case in my experience.  I seem to be craving everything.  Even the KFC that one of the other writers was eating.  I wasn't hungry.  I was just craving.  The difference being that since i wasn't hungry, the cravings were easy to resist, and I wasn't miserable.

The other reason being that you had to be careful about flushing out your system, and time it carefully.

At any rate, I'm off to faceplant into bed now.  I'm glad that I have the rest of the week off, because I'm looking forward to a lot of sleep tomorrow.
