You can't see it, but I swear I'm dancing!
So a couple months back, I re-wrote the Kelpie story from Special Projects as an original story (new characters, new story line. The only thing that looks the same is that it's set in Branson, and there is a Kelpie that looks like a shark) and submitted it to Esther Freizner for an anthology about werewolves in the suburbs.
This week, I found out that that story, Fish Story, will be in the Baen anthology STRIP MAULED.
I got the e-mail earlier this week, but the contract came in today. Needless to say, I signed it and had it back in the mail in about 5 minutes. And I've been dancing ever since.
I've always wanted to just walk into a bookstore, pull a book off the shelf, flip it to a page, and see my name on that page. Now, I can do that.
