“Okay!” Sam patted the shoulder of the parody sue encouragingly. “We've cut your hair in a buzz, put Dean's aftershave on you and we found a coat that looks a little like his. That should draw the beasts out of their lair. Once we have them in our sights, we'll canonize the lot of them.”


“You sure that my helping you is going to change me back?” Parody Sue looked at him in trepidation.

“It's already working.” Sam said. “The bluebirds have left you alone. And any minute now, your eyes will stop changing color.”

She gave him a watery, grateful look. “Thanks guys. I appreciate this.”

“Yeah, pip pip and all that,” Dean said as he loaded the canonizer. “The building full of monsters is down there. Go get 'em.”



He pointed to an old, brick building. The sign over the door, in glittery pink letters proclaimed that the building belonged to something called a sparklypoo.

Parody Sue nodded and then walked toward the building.

Once she was out of earshot, Dean looked up. “Think she'll make it?”

“Not in a million years,” Sam shook his head. “Lore states that a parody sue is usually thwarted by the presence of other sues. Once she's been fully turned, then we can safely canonize her.”



“You know,” Dean said. “This is kind of cold blooded for you: Outright lying to a sue like that.”



“You said so yourself Dean. There's no cure for sue-ism. I don't like it, but this is the only thing we can do.” Sam looked at Dean with those watery, puppy eyes. Somewhere, Dean knew that baby pandas were crying to their mommies because they would never achieve that level of cute.



Dean nodded as he took careful aim. “Like shooting fish in a barrel.”
