I know that most of you guys are waiting for the next part of the Aztec Cult storyline, but I felt like I needed to get this out of the way first. I'll start posting Bad Company tomorrow.

I'm probably also not going to crosspost this, because this is one of those fics that it seems like everyone is doing.

Oooh, the boys are getting inked. I agree with Chloe - its sexy. Of course I can't decide where to put mine, so I'm still ink-free. Icon shows what I want.

I thought about getting a tattoo a while back. But I could never decide what I wanted or where. I couldn't ever find something that I wasn't going to get sick of eventually.

Now I'm married to a guy who thinks tattoos are disgusting, so no ink for me.

But when I saw the tats on the boys on the show, my first thought was 'guh'

At some point in this fic, I needed to put this in. Otherwise, Dean is going to show a little skin, and it'll be there. And then suddenly readers are going to go: WTF?

Awesome - and a great moment to place it, Dean thinking about protecting Chloe and all. I also like that you didn't let them just go to the local tatto parlor!

Did you? I did a lot of research on tattos for that.

Did you know that a maori facial tattoo was considered so much a part of that person that when the maori first started to make treaties with europeans, they signed them (verry laborously, I might add) with a drawing of their complete facial tattoo?

Yeah, me neither before now. xD

That's some serious research! But that's perfect for the boys - in the other tattoo fics I've read it's just been basic ink and needle, and making sure the design is perfect. I like the idea that there's more to it than just getting the design right.

There was a lot that went into getting tattoos in a lot of the polynesian cultures. Some of those tatoos were designed to give Loa (sprits) help in protecting the tattoo wearer.

There were a lot of rules wrapped up in how they were applied too. Including abstenence for a period of time, but I wasn't going to put that in the middle of the Chlean honeymoon.
