You know, I never really thought about it until I read this, but Dean would make an awesome firefighter. It's something dangerous and it helps people- totally fits him. Ironic that in the non-AU his mother died in a fire.

Great story, I hope you continue this.

In the SPN episode Devil's Trap, Dean comments that he's always wanted to be a fireman. In What is and what should never be, he was a mechanic (presumably he took over John's share of the auto body shop).

I know a lot of firemen, and they tend to work three days on/four days off. So a lot of them have two jobs. Dean would probably help his dad in his down-time.

loved this want more. i can not see sam with an fbi issued haircut lol. i can not wait to read dean's reaction to meeting chloe.

I couldn't either, at first. But I don't see him going into work with the mop-top. He does have a law degree after all. So he probably had to cut it when he was looking to intern with a law firm.

Loved this! An AU where the Winchesters have nothing to do with supernatural, Sam is an FBI agent and Dean is a firefighter! And Mary is alive! And Chloe!

I'm in love with this already!

Well, they don't have anything to do with the supernatural yet. Chloe being Chloe, they will probably at least find out about it pretty soon.
