Hello again, it's you and me Kinda always like it used to be Sippin' wine, killing time Trying to solve life's mysteries.

She had never been so nervous as she was sitting there on that soft brown couch. She fondled its surface with other hand and held her glass in the other. They had been there hours already, but still she felt like she couldn't get enough of him. She wanted to know more about what he had done in all that time. They shared a smile which told more than hundreds of words.

It was nice, it was comfortable and it was natural. Laugh just slipped over their lips and it felt good. To hear him laugh was like a drug. She just had to get more of it. And when she did, it wrapped around her warming her inside out, making her heart beat again, after so long. It had missed him, more than she had realized, but now when he was with her she realized that her whole body had missed him. She took a sip of her wine, but she couldn't take her eyes away from those green beauties.

How's your life, it's been a while God it's good to see you smile I see you reaching for your keys Looking for a reason not to leave

Her smile makes him feel alive again. For so long he had been just a walking and talking corpse, who had tried to make everyone believe he was okay. He absorbed every little piece of information from her life so he could imagine her life when she was gone again. He wasn't sure had he ever been so glad to see anybody. His happiness was like a balloon in his chest which made it hard even to breathe. She smiled again and he just wanted to grab her to his arms and kiss her.

Like everything good in his life, she was leaving, he noticed. Anxious glance to the clock and then sad look to the car keys on the table made it clear. He wanted to tell her that she doesn't have to leave - ever. She could stay with him forever and he would enjoy every second of that. Her eyes wandered around looking for something - looking for an excuse to stay, and he knew it. It had been clear from the beginning that she needed him too and that she wanted to be with him. They didn't need words to that.

If you don't know if you should stay If you don't say what's on your mind Baby just breathe There's nowhere else tonight we should be

She didn't take her car keys and she pulled her sleeve down to cover the clock she was wearing. She didn't know should she stay or leave. Mind screamed to her that she should leave. This was not her place and she had done wrong just by coming here, but her heart and all the senses told her to stay. And she did listen to her heart, because once she was told that she should follow her heart where ever it took her. She hadn't been so successful in that, but she had always wanted to be and now she had a chance to be again.

All the possibilities in the world would be theirs tonight and she wouldn't ruin it by leaving. She wanted to be there a little while longer, linger in the beautiful soft atmosphere that drifted between them. The air was filled with emotions and it only got stronger as they watched each other over the table. She wanted him to come to her, but touching was out of the picture, so instead they just watched each other, passing all the feelings only with the glances.

You wanna make a memory?

They had a lot of memories together, some were good and some were bad, but he cherished every one of them. He couldn't be more jubilant at the moment: he got more of those sweet memories he could spent the rest of his day reminiscing. Right that moment, when they were looking each other silently, would be one of his most precious memories.

I dug up this old photograph Look at all that hair we had. It's bittersweet to hear you laugh Your phone is ringing I don't wanna ask

He had moved next to her and they were looking an old photograph. It was one of those memories he would never let go. They were standing there in a Halloween costumes, and they had had the best evening ever. She had made him wear the costume, and she laughed now to that memory. It was bittersweet, but he was partly masochist and enjoyed it. She was laughing again with him and it was more than he ever dared to wish.

But then she moved her eyes away from the photo and looked at the phone which was ringing on the table: her phone. He smiled her a little and took the photo away from her hands. He knew she needed to answer, but he didn't want to know who was calling. He kind of knew it anyway, but asking would make it even more real and even more painful. She took her phone and went to another room. He placed the photo back to the photo album hoping that she would never get that kind of call again.

If you go now, I'll understand If you stay, hey, I've got a plan We're gonna make a memory

She came back looking a bit guilty. He tried not to care about it, but it was hard. She was again unsure should she go or stay. She stood behind the couch and looked at him. He responded to that look without hesitating. He would understand if she went now; he wasn't real part of her life, so maybe she wanted to get back to the reality. But her eyes told she wanted to stay. And he was happy about that sign. He wanted to make a memory with her and he had a plan.

You wanna steal a piece of time You can sing the melody to me And I can write a couple of lines

Again she was in front of the same question, but again the answer was the same. She wasn't going to leave. She wanted to stay there, and she would. She would stretch their time together even more. She would do everything she could to be there a little longer - she stole a time from all the other things she should be doing. Looking him in the eye made her sure that nothing could be more important than this. This moment was maybe all they ever would have and it was almost poetic.

You wanna make a memory?

She studied his features carefully from afar. She had forgotten so many of them during these years, but now she looked at every single scar so she would remember those when her time came to leave. She stored them to her mind and promised herself never to forget those. She wanted to help her memorizing with her hands; feel his face, hair, arms, biceps, abs... But she couldn't.

If you don't know if you should stay And you don't say what's on your mind Baby just breathe There's nowhere else tonight we should be We should be

Carefully he walked closer to her. This was it. She could leave any minute now, and he couldn't stand the idea that only contact they would have tonight would be their thighs touching each other while looking at the photo. He knew that he shouldn't do it; they weren't allowed to touch one another, but he threw that away from his mind. He couldn't care less at the moment - her chocolate brown eyes were calling him to come closer and he answered the call. She didn't need to say anything. He knew what was on her mind.

He didn't have anywhere else to be tonight, and even if he did, he would have stayed. Just like she did. She had place to go, but she stayed because she wanted to be with him. They should be together tonight; after all it was probably the last time they ever could be together. He walked to her and gave her his hand. She took it and smiled that smile, which lightened up the whole room. He felt the luckiest man alive tonight.

You wanna make a memory You wanna steal a piece of time You can sing the melody to me And I can write a couple of lines

Gently she wrapped her hands around his neck and he took her inside his arms. He placed his head against her soft hair and took a deep breath. She smelled exactly like he had remembered. She let her hands fondle his neck and hair, and his hair felt like she had remembered; not too soft, not too hard. They felt good in her hand. They started moving in the rhythm of the slow song, and he was sure that it would be exactly like this in Heaven. At least this was his Heaven. Everything he ever had wanted was right there with him.

He didn't want to think that she was his only tonight and neither did she. They sank into the moment and she closed her eyes when she pressed her head against his chest. She listened his heartbeats and it was the most beautiful sound she had ever heard. It was strong and determined. It wouldn't stop in a long time, and she knew that when it stopped hers would stop too. He pressed her closer to him and closed his eyes. He never wanted to lose her and he wasn't sure what was going to happen when she eventually left that door. But he didn't think it now. Now he made a memory with her.

You wanna make a memory?
