Yup, in my ongoing series of cartoon openings, I provide you with 30 minutes of 70s cartoon openings. However I warn you, this is the 70s, so it's full of Scooby-Doo clones, lots of Hanna-Barbara stuff, questionable ethnic stereotypes, and shows you probably were better off not knowing they exist.

Below is a little bit of commentary about each opening.
Josie and The Pussycats: My favorite Hanna Barbara cartoon. It's like Scooby-Doo mixed with Johnny Quest.
The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan: Ummm... that's a lot of kids... yeah.
Goober and the Ghost Chasers: That's the ugliest cartoon dog I've ever seen.
Speed Buggy: The part of this intro where they build Speed Buggy disturbed me as a little kid. Not totally sure why.
Jabberjaw: The part of this song where he says, "I'm even breathing!" makes me laugh everytime.
Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels: I watched this show recently on Boomerang and it was neither hilarious or scary. I call false advertising, Hanna Barbara!
The New Shmoo: What the hell is a Lil' Abner character doing hanging out with city teens solving mysteries... SERIOUSLY?!
Fangface: Is it just me or does Sherman look like Adam Sandler?
Rickety Rocket: Ummm... what the hell is with that girl's voice?!
Devlin: I saw this show on Cartoon Network once, it was horrible. Also is it me, or does Devlin's arms seem short in some of these scenes?
The Harlem Globetrotters: This is a good example of how you can make a good opening with really simple animation. Though the scene with the Globetrotter's head coming out at me is kinda' creepy. Also does anyone else hear the Lucky Star's opening theme in their head when the show all the character's legs?
Super Globetrotters: One of the guys has the special ability to pull any object out of his afro. That is the ONLY cool thing about this show. Otherwise it's a horrible mess. Not to mention putting the criminals on top of a building is not a successful form of capture.
Dynomutt Dog Wonder: My pal Sean does a great imitation of both Dynomutt and Blue Falcon. I rewatched this recently and actually really enjoyed it. Granted I think most of that enjoyment came from how Blue becomes more and more passive agressive towards Dynomutt with each episode. He's a go go dog person. Hee hee
Hong Kong Phooey: Man, I miss Scatman Crothers. He pretty much sells this show. Without him it just wouldn't have worked.
Inch High Private Eye: Seemly Inch can breathe helium.
SuperFriends: I love this show so much. This opening, too. Especially the part where Captain Cold freezes the entire Earth. I mean seriously, HOW! HOW DOES HE DO THAT! WITH A GUN NO LESS! This show is one of the most unintentially hilarious shows ever made.
Plastic Man: Newest DC Superhero?! He was created in the 40s! Oh! Hey, kids! It's Michael Belle!
The New Adventures of Bat Man: Batman is so awesome, he was able to be in two cartoons that aired at the same year and were made by two different companies (the other being The SuperFriends). That's just how bad ass he is!
Flash Gordon: Why do people always laugh like that in Filmation cartoons?! I'm serious, no does a full head back tilt like that when they laugh.
Tarzan: Gorilla is giving Tarzan the bad touch!!!
I'm The Greatest: The Adventures of Muhammad Ali: Um, why would a boxer be sent in space? I don't care how famous Muhammad Ali was, but no one is going to send him into space.
Fat Albert: FUCK!!! Fat Albert just poked me in the eye!
Star Trek: Most boring opening ever! Imitating the original opening may not be a good idea when your on a Filmation budget.
Star Blazers: I chose the second season opener just because no one knows the words to it (fans only know the season 1 theme). Granted the theme sounds kinda' retarded with these new lines.
Battle of the Planets: Princess panty shot! And that theme sounds really similiar to the SuperFriends theme.
Godzilla: Godzooky?! What the fuck, Hanna Barbara! Seriously!!! I actually wish there was more to this theme song, because all the first half of it actually sounds pretty cool.
Casper and the Angels: Yes, this show really did exist. I shit you not.
The Pebbles and Bamm Bamm Show: Man, kids grow up fast. I mean they went from toddlers to teenagers in like what, four years. I also like how Fred almost fell to his doom... cheerfully.
The New Adventures of Heckle and Jeckle and Quackula: Quackula totally looks like a rip of Donald. As for HnJ, Filmation really shouldn't be allowed to touch classic cartoon characters.
The Tom and Jerry Show: Politically correct and friendly Tom and Jerry, thanks 70s TV censors.
Grape Ape: I love those weird surreal backgrounds that Hanna Barbara does (especially in openings) where it's just random splashes of color. I also love Beegle Beagle's walk cycle. And Marty Ingles needs to be in more cartoons.
Help! It's The Hair Bear Bunch: This show is like an animated version of Hogan's Heroes... in a weird way. Also is it just me, or does Hair run like an anime school girl? Gay! Incidentally I can also do a decent Mr. Peevly imitation.
Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch: SEIZURE!!! Living cars before Pixar was even created. ;)
