I've been spending some time trying to organize my massive toy collection within my office. So far I've gotten my Transformers, DC, and G.I. Joe toys organized. Next I need to get all my video game and other toys organized. In the meantine, I figured I'd show my progress thus far.
Lets start with my Optimus Prime section. Unfortunately you can't see a lot of the littler figures on there very well. This is unfortunately do to me setting them all on a long mantle. It looks really awesome in person, but doesn't photograph as well. In this set I have (from right to left) Mini Armada Prime, War Within Titanium Prime, Bigger Armada Prime, Alternator Prime, Spy Changer RID Prime, Cybertron Prime, Attatix Cybertron Prime, G1 Robot Heroes Prime (pointing version), Robot Masters Prime (based on his G1 look), PVC Cybertron Heroes Prime (also pointing), 2oth Anniversary/Masterpiece Prime, who is also holding World's Smallest Optimus Prime (both based on G1 Optimus Prime), The original G1 Optimus Prime (holding Big Convoy's Matrix), Matrix Welding Robot Heroes Prime, Weird Open Chest Gashapon Prime (based on G1), G1 Titanium Prime (also pointing... he seems to like to do that), Power Master Prime/God Ginra, Movie Prime who happens to be holding Legends Movie Prime (yeah, he sucks, but he was cheap), Robot Heroes Movie Prime, Big Convoy, Laser Rod Optimus Prime, Universe Spychanger Optimus Prime and a bootleg of Powermaster Prime/God Ginra. Man, that's a lot of stuff to name off. I can't believe I remember them all. ^^;
Here's my mostly Starscream collection. Do to the size of Cybertron Deluxe Starscream, he had to be set on the top of my shelf with Armada Unicron (who is holding Robot Heroes Unicron). Below we have Classics Starscream, G1 Titanium Starscream, Armada Starscream, original G1 Starscream, Robot Heroes G1 Starscream, World's Smallest Transformers G1 Starscream, Masterpiece Starscream (based on the G1 character design, he's all kinds of groovy) telling us everything is A-Okay, Titanium War Within Starscream, Burger King Movie Starscream, Energon Starscream in G1 colors, Robot Master Starscream, Movie Starscream, Energon Starscream, and Attatix Cybertron Starscream. Whew. That's a lot to say. Let's go to the next shelf, shall we?
Here's the Dinobot section of my Transformer collection. As a lot of people can guess, it's almost all Grimlock stuff. I've only recently decided to collect the rest of the Dinobots (and I need a Swoop). In this collection I have a Bust of G1 Grimlock, Pretenders/Legends Grimlock (I don't have his Pretender shell, I'm afraid), PVC Cybertron Heroes G1 Grimlock, Alternators Grimlock, Robot Heroes G1 Grimlock, Titanium G1 Grimlock, G1 Sludger, G1 Grimlock, Generation 2 Red Snarl, Generation 2 Blue Grimlock, Generation 2 Green Slag (I really want to find the red version of this), and Classics Grimlock. I'm supposed to be getting the bootleg World's Smallest Grimlock in the mail soon. They have another version of this toy, where he is in his Generation 2 Blue coloring. I want that one a lot (Generation 2 Grimlock is my favorite toy I own at the moment), but it goes for up to $50 on Ebay. With how itty bitty that toy is, it makes it really hard for me to reasonably spend that kind of moolah on it. So I got the one in original G1 colors instead (it was only $9). I can't wait till I can add him to the collection.
This shelf contains the rest of my Transformers or transforming robots that don't fit in the previous sections. Here I have the magnificent Sky Lynx from Generation 1, riding on his wings are a PVC figure of Pretender Metalhawk and Robot Heroes G1 Mirage. Also here is Titanium War Within Megatron, and some bootleg Converter toys. I'm not sure what they're names are, but they are pretty goofy looking and free, so I'm keeping them around at the moment.
This shelf contains my DC Comics related toys. Most of which are based on Bruce Timm's Animated DC continuity. We have a statue, action figure, and mini bust of the animated Justice League Hawkgirl. We also have Green Arrow and Black Canary from Justice League Unlimited. In the Batman section we have Ed McGuiness based DC Direct Superman/Batman version of Batman (man that was a mouth full), Bruce Timm Justice League Batman, Bruce Timm The New Batman Adventures Batman with battle damage, and an awesome Mattel released Batman figure based on then current look in the comics (I think he's wearing blue again, I prefer black). We also have a mini bust of Animated Justice League Flash (considering a big Flash and Wally West, I'm amazed I don't have a Flash action figure of any sorts), Bruce Timm Animated Supergirl Mini-bust. In the Catwoman area we have Batman the Animated Series Catwoman Statue (complete with her cat Isis), The New Batman Adventures Catwoman figure, and DC Catwoman action figure wearing her 90's purple outfit (my personal favorite of her comic book outfits). We also have animated Justice League Superman, and unfortunately due to the angle this picture had to be taken, you couldn't see my awesome Batman: The Animated Series Mad Hatter figure.
Last to show is my G.I. Joe collection. I've really only recently got into collecting G.I. Joes, so my collection here isn't very impressive (I liked watching the cartoon more than collecting the toys as a kid). In fact, you'll notice that almost all my collection consists of Cobra Commander. Probably because he's my favorite character. ;) In fact, there's no actual Joes at all. It's all the villians. Probably because I always found the Joe villians way cooler than the heroes. Here we have Valor vs. Venom Cobra Commander, The 2002 blue Cobra Commander, 25th Anniversary Hooded Cobra Commander, 25th Anniversary Destro, 25th Anniversary Helmet Cobra Commander, 25th Anniversary Barroness, Comic Pack #74 Cobra Commander with removable Helmet (his under helmet appearance is rather disappointing to say the least).
And that's it. As soon as I get the rest of my figures situated, I will show them off as well. Until then... I HUNGER, COWARDS!!!
