this week, we at
pemberleya have been conducting an experiment. the entire staff has spent the last workweek on the Roommate K Diet.
there was a depressing Staff Weigh-In yesterday morning, which the editors refuse to delve into, but will use merely as basis for future comparisons.
Roommate K Diet is not all about losing weight, though. is also about energy maintenance and not feeling like crap. which pans out remarkably well, according to our editorial staff.
in lieu of packing a lunch or eating breffixt, the staff leaves home in the morning with 2 travel cups of coffee (why is there no travel mug size between 12 oz. and Trucker Gulp? seriously. what the crap.) 1/2 L of diet iced tea and 1/2 L of water. and a clif bar, a kashi golean bar, a stonyfield farm lowfat yogurt, and either a snack-size cottage cheese or banana. keys to the plan are FIBER, PROTEIN, PORTABLE and SMALL AND SEPARATED.
fiber and protein maintain satiety for multiple hours, preventing trips to snack machines, purveyors of french fries, etc. having 5 things to eat sitting on desk helps with rationing. is also cheaper to not buy lunch everyday. and saves time.
the important thing is that the editors say they feel good. go, editors.
