“ Hi there. I’m Takashima Kouyou. You can call me Uruha.”
The blonde in front of him raised his hand for a handshake. Beautiful. That was what came to mind when he first saw the other. He had eyes that shone with a certain glimmer, hope, he thought. And hope was something he lost since his parents died. He felt a certain connection to this lively boy. He was only two years older than him, yet he behaved like one that was younger than he himself. Joy. Aoi almost laughed at the word. How could someone develop such feelings when the country’s rotting to such an extent? Yet he felt attracted to the weird person he was staring at.
He liked him.
Was that it?
“ I’m Shiroyama Yuu. Or Aoi. Nice to meet you.”
He took Uruha’s hand into his.
Both of them smiled.
“ Hey Aoi! Are you serious about topping Uruha?!?” Nao almost chokes on his tea at Ruki’s remark.
“ You’ve got to be kidding me! Its Uruha man! The most manly of men even though he dresses up in kimonos!” Nao joined in the fun in teasing Uruha.
Uruha scowled. He hated it when people mentioned he dresses up in kimonos.
“ Aoi! You told them?!? And in any case, there’s no way you’re topping me. You hear me?”
But Aoi couldn’t reply, and he wasn’t going to do so anytime soon, for the brunette was paractically laughing his ass off at the remarks made by his friends.
Ruki was his bestfriend. He could never fail to make Aoi laugh. He was pretty important to Aoi. They shared secrets, and had a close connection to each other, though not like the connection between Aoi and Uruha.
As for Nao, his words were always epic, no matter where he got them from. He had slightly spiky hair, and his eyes were always glossy looking. Like the others, he had a breath-taking bodyline, and slightly pinkish cheeks that made him look more adorable than ever.
He wasn’t particularly close to either of the geisha, but people always counted on him to keep secrets, despite the fact that he was the more talkative one among his friends.
“ Hey hey chill Uruha! No need to be so loud! You don’t want Kai to hear this anytime soon do you?” Ruki spoke in a whisper and beamed.
“ All of you WILL get your retribution someday. Trust me.” Uruha spat out. That was the last statement he could say anyway, as Kai entered the room, with both eyebrows raised.
The room fell silent immediately, but the occupants had small smiles on their faces. Kai was in a good mood today, well he was most of the days, and the smile on his face always proved to cheer them up. Kai could be really generous when he was feeling good. And it bodes well for all of them.
He moved to sit together with the others, and he scanned their faces. They were all looking at him expectantly. He couldn’t help but notice the slight blush formed on Nao’s face when their eyes met, and he grinned.
Nao always seemed so tensed up whenever he sees him. And he never fail to stumble over his words while talking to him.
He shrugged off the thought. Maybe it was just his imagination.
“ Well I’m guessing all of you are wondering why I’ve conducted a meeting at this time.” He spoke in a slow manner, earning nods back from his “daughters”, as what people like to call them. But he wouldn’t agree with that. It makes him feel old.
He turned around swiftly, as if looking for something, or someone. The others followed his gaze towards the translucent door, and it was then when they noticed there was a shadow behind it. Kai got up and paced across the room, dragging someone in.
The person being dragged had blonde hair as well, and his eyes were somehow similar to Nao’s, just a little bigger, Ruki thought. Being a tad bit taller than Aoi, he looks pretty much uncomfortable with so many eyes staring at him, blushing deeply under the hot gaze of Ruki, especially.
“ Darlings, I want you to meet Shou. He’s the new geisha here, and I trust you all to take good care of him.” Kai spoke in an almighty manner.
“ Hajimemashite… my name’s Shou.” He voiced out shyly with a slight bow. The others bowed back, and Ruki continued his observation.
He looks soft, despite the firmness in the voice. But one could never be so sure, he decided. Aoi seemed to like him a lot, as he smiled at the newcomer, and so did all the others. It wasn’t all that hard to understand; he’s pretty likeable, but Ruki didn’t think so. Ruki was okay with his looks, and his shyness, but it was the way Shou looks at Uruha that gives him the creeps. Aoi’s Uruha, to be more exact.
Ruki narrowed his eyes at Shou as the latter threw him barely a smile in return.
I’ve got to keep a closer eye on him.

“ Ne… Aoi… can’t we have a go?”
“ Nah… I’m dead tired… after all the entertaining and such I’ve no more energy… curse Mondays…”
“ C’mon… I can’t sleep!” Uruha tugged at Aoi’s sleeves pleadingly.
“ Close your eyes dear…” That was the last sentence he managed to say before drifting to sleep, leaving Uruha pouting. He didn’t enjoy being denied of sex after a long day of “work”.
After lying on his mattress for half an hour and still not able to fall asleep, Uruha got up and dressed himself in a jacket and sweatpants, before leaving for the back garden.
Sitting on the edge of the raised platform, he sighed, admiring the stars. How free they seemed, shining at their best. Its not that he wasn’t “free” in here, just that all the entertaining and full schedules was smothering him.
He let out another heartbreaking sigh, and leaned backwards onto the door, only to expect the cold wooden floor.
“ Ouch!” He exclaimed silently, before shutting his mouth.
He was staring right into the large and shining eyes of Shou, which were also staring back at him.
“ Oh uh… Hi. I didn’t know you were there…” He whispered before murmuring something else along the lines of “ And that you slid the door open…”.
“ Hello. Why are you out here?” Shou questioned. He moved away, allowing Uruha to help himself back up.
“ Well uhh I can’t seem to sleep, so I came out to take a breather…?” Uruha continued under Shou’s stare, as if he can’t seem to take his eyes off him. “ How about you? Why are you out here?”
“ Same reason.” This guy didn’t seem to be the kind who spoke much, Uruha commented to himself. But all the more, he seems pretty interesting.
“ Lets be friends!” Uruha exclaimed a little too excitedly before grabbing Shou’s hands and shaking them. He didn’t enjoy being rejected being friends.
“ The stars looks extraordinary beautiful tonight.” Shou said, ignoring Uruha and diverting his attention to the sky.
Uruha pouted at the lack of response received and let go off Shou’s hands, before nodding in agreement.
“ Yeah… I’ve always liked them. The shapes they form some nights, its amazing.”
“ You like stars? I study them. I’ve a book about stars, the shapes they form and the meanings.”
“ You serious?! That’s awesome man! Could I take a look at it? Please? Please? Please?”
“ Yea sure. If you don’t mind you could come to my room tomorrow night at this time. I could teach you a couple of things about them.”
“ Um night? I’m not too sure about this…” Uruha pondered. Would Aoi say anything to this?
“ If you can’t make it, its totally cool with me.” Shou responded before getting up and proceeded in going back to his room.
“ No wait! I… I’ll be there.” Uruha told him, unsure of his decision.
“ Great. I’ll be waiting.” Shou grinned to himself as he returned to his room.
