Why do TV creators who have broken my heart and then stomped around on it not impressed me have to do things like come up with new shows and then cast Stockard Channing in them???? How can I watch further work of Ron D. Moore???? How can I not watch Stockard Channing???? And it's a supernatural cop show. Also to star Jamie Bamber, apparently, which is exciting other people more than me, but hey, I like Bamber well enough, I guess. Link
here. *frets*
Speaking of supernatural cop shows, I've watched a few more eps of Fringe and am not yet in love, but I'm starting to get more interested. Why, though, must Joshua Jackson be so annoying??? I think this needs to be the Olivia, Walter, Astrid, and guy-from-The-Wire show, and Peter can go back to wherever he came from. (This is all going to end in tears, isn't it?)
And in non-supernatural cop show news, I was less impressed with episode two of The Chicago Code, in which we learn that no, the white guy with manpain is really the centre of this show. It's still got lots of potential as a narrative, but I want this to be Theresa's narrative, and not whatshisface's. Except that per the above RDM comment, it's worth noting that this show is done by the guy who sent Lie to Me off the rails by turning it into The Cal Show, so I'm not particularly hopeful.
But Castle remains awesome, so all is well with the world.

I celebrated
Galentine's Day over the past few days and wrote a handful of gift ficlets for some of my gals. Multi-fandom, all about women, of varying degrees of quality:
For
runawaynun, an Alias snippet of
Irina and Sydney during the missing years.
For
nicole_anell,
Caprica Six, pre BSG miniseries.
For
gabolange,
Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles on Valentine's Day.
For
chaila43, a Queen's Thief ficlet (set between books three and four, but with spoilers through the latter) about
Eddis and the magus.
For
beccatoria,
Susan Ivanova and Delenn, approximately 30 years after the Babylon 5 finale.
And for
rose_griffes, a TSCC ficlet about
Savannah Weaver in a future that's probably a bit too hopeful.
