let's just say I want to believe
I have made it to gabolange's!!!!! And we assembled furniture without disaster!!!! I even hammered left-handed without smashing myself or her new furniture!
And then this evening we went to see X-Files, like good fangirls. SCULLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND MULDER!!!! AND SKINNER!!!!!! OMG I DID NOT KNOW SKINNER WAS IN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was actually a pretty awful movie on multiple levels, but the affection runs deep. It's SCULLY AND MULDER AND NEW X-FILES CONTENT AFTER ALL THESE YEARS! It all still feels rather surreal, and I'm not sure whether or not I'm glad it exists. The decision to go with a MOTW format was wise, but the case was just stupid, and they slid right past all kinds of formerly important plot things. Is the alien invasion still scheduled for 2012? How did Scully manage to be not on the run anymore? Whatever happened to Agent Doggett? (Hey, I loved Doggett!!!)
This isn't what I'd have hoped for in a new X-Files movie, but I never expected there to be one in the first place. All told, I'm glad to have gotten to spend some more time with these characters, under whatever circumstances.
And Scully looked incredibly gorgeous. As she saved the day. With Skinner!!!!!!!!!
