The Gayest Movie Ever
Yes, it really is. If only for the sexual tension between Ryan and Chad. But, Zac Efron's scene for "Bet On It" is atrocious too. I only hope the Footloose remake is better.
Which scene is gayer though? It's a pity that the second movie was so unintentionally laughable because I really loved the first one, and I do like those songs that accompany the very homosexual scenes. Plus, they cut out Ashley Tisdale's crazy Hawaiian song, which is just sad. She's got much better screen presence than Vanessa Hudgens.
At least there were disturbing undertones of incest between Ryan and Sharpay, even though I am utterly convinced that he and Chad are gay for each other. I mean, after "I Don't Dance," they showed up wearing each other's clothing. I don't know if Kenny Ortega, the director, is really gay (well, he made Xanadu, so I'm 99% sure), but whoever wrote that in definitely is.
