the hardest part of this whole training thing is not running. By that I mean saying "fuck it" and running a full 5K and not pacing myself.
I went to the gym last night and did a quick session on the treadmill (and yes, the treadmill is crap compared to outside running) and the urge was there to just run the full time, or at least see how long I could go without clutching my heart and falling over.
In the back of my mind I knew I'd do much more damage than good if I just ran and instead broke it up into run/walk intervals of 90 seconds each. If I ran the whole time, chances are I would have a tough time walking today.
