On Saturday I am climbing a mountain.
No, not because it's there, but because of who will be there.
My good friend and Clann mate Randy Pierce is completing the final climb to become the 47th person to summit all 48 of New Hampshire's 4,000 foot peaks in a single Winter.
And those of you who know Randy can fill in the big blank: "and become the first blind person to do so."
So on Saturday morning we are leaving from the Cannon Mountain trailhead. We should hit the summit by Noon, depart the summit around Noon:15 or so, and be at The Common Man near there by 3:00.
The climb is one of the easiest ( if one can count climbing any mountain as easy ) and there is no limit on party size like there is in the National Forest.
There is also a Tram to the top ($15 round trip I believe) if you would like to be at the top to congratulate Randy when we get there.
I'm glad I'm back from Australia for a few weeks. This is an event I'd hate to miss.
