Another political rant...just bear with me...
Tonight on the NBC Nightly news I was interested to find that the top story of the night had to do with the "Internet conspiracies" surrounding the Pentagon attacks on 9/11 and the idea that a missile not a plane may have hit the building. So I watched the story, only to see the news simply brush it aside with very little substansive evidence to prove a plane actually hit the building. I guess they were covering the topic because for the first time today the Pentagon released the video frames of the "plane" hitting the building. Here is the infamous first frame where I have circled an unidentifiable white object on the right side of the photo.
Notice how in addition to this object simply not being the size of a normal 757 there is a trail of smoke behind it, whatever it is. The one thing that can be said though is that is certainly not a 757; it is traveling much too low and is not the height it should be. In fact, I read something in searching for this photo that said that many believe that an explosive laden military plane known as a Global Hawk may have hit the Pentagon. This is what a Global Hawk looks like:
The sites said that the plane could have been painted in the color scheme of an American Airlines plane to make people think a commercial airliner hit the building. So the Pentagon may not be lying completely about a plane hitting the building, just "which" plane hit. This could explain the differences between eyewitness accounts of the Pentagon attacks, most saying either an American Airlines jet hit the building or a small corporate jet. I don't know what to think about all this right now. I just wish the media would give this issue the in-depth coverage it deserves.
