a looooooonnnnnng weekend...
I was reffing the needham tournament all weekend long, saturday through monday, 17 games in total! my legs are sooooo sore... so saturday I did 4, then on sunday I did 7, and 6 yesterday. and on saturday and sunday i was reffing until 8 pm! i was a little ticked about that one, as I did want to do SOMETHING this weekend other than reffing... on sunday it was ligit tho cuz we had this huge thunderstorm pass through, lighting up the field for an hour and a half and soaking the already spongy fields...but levon got two games going afterwards, "in the last remaining light" great audioslave song btw...hehe. my last game yesterday was a semi-final, Force vs. Bolts. it ended 1-1 at the end of regulation, and then went to penalty kicks, which they remained tied at 2-2 after all five had shot. then after sudden death kicks we finally had a winner, Force beat the Bolts 4-3 in PKs... an intense match to say the least.
But i think this weekend might have been worth it(even though I couldn't go clubbing, and I didn't get to see brigitte...) cuz I'm pretty sure I made about $300 from those 17 games, that's if the tournament directors were being generous. if they weren't it'd be closer to $250 prolly but still pretty good money i guess.
all for now, might go biking at noonie today despite my aching legs...
