Say, flisters, is anyone around here of the right age to like Take That, too?
Bwah! Take That is the soundtrack of my teenage years, and even though I didn't even really like the band back in the day, I find myself really sentimental over their reunion. I saw a special on them on TV while we were in London, and I discovered I can still sing along to the old songs, and it's a blast :) The guys look like they're having so much fun doing their thing now that the fangirl craze of their heyday has died down. They seem to be thoroughly enjoying themselves, and somehow, it's so sweet and moving how they're still friends after all this time. I sort of want to buy their new album. I even sort of want to go to a concert. Oh, lol.
Interviewer: "Does it upset you when you go places and the fans don't scream as much for you as they used to?"
Mark Owen: "Well, our fans have grown up along with us, and they have more important things to do now than camp outside venues and scream for us. And I think that's great - that's how it should be."

In other news, I jumped on the drabble meme wagon, so if you want to play, comment with a prompt and I promise to write you at least 100 words of fanfic (for fandoms I know, yes?). First five prompts will get written asap, but possibly only after the holidays. Oh, and if you request something, the rules of the game say you have to post the meme in your lj, too, but I'm too busy atm to hunt you down if you don't :)
We'll be leaving for Christmas celebrations at home tomorrow. I'm not sure if I look forward to all the family stuff, but here's hoping all will be quiet and peaceful.
