it could be beacuse i'm tired, but i dont' see how making it harder from one group of illegal immigrants makes things any easier for another group of illegal immigrants. it's not fair so let's make it hard for everyone? i'm not following the logic.
Maybe the spanish do have it easier, but it's not abnormal for mutilingual menus/signs/etc i think it would be safe today that many of the french menus have spanish translations (vice versa) many korea probably has a couple of chinese channels chinese (vice versa)
it's not like you can go to ohio and order un hamborgesa con queso granted you can take your drivers license test in spanish, but you can also take it in chinese
my main problem with the fence isn't that it keeps out illegal immigrants (though i'm not too happy about slamming the door on immigrants, i understand there are economic and social reprocusions taht outweight simple empathy)
i just feel the fence is a waste of money they are not going to have enough people to man it so it's not going to be as effective as they predict and it's going to cost a shit load of money
not to be idealistic but if you are going to spend billions upon billions of dollars why not pour it into development? i'm not saying develop the whole of mexico, but one small region at a time
yeah, it's harder to affectively implement plans to improve conditions than to build a huge fence but quick fixes never last we'll still have immigration problems
Not to mention it's only going to cover 700 miles while leaving 1300 miles unfenced.. which means anyone who wants to cross the border can just go to the unfenced part
