I really wanted to write this in third person but it seems wanky

I finally got back to Sydney a couple of days ago from the Taiwan/Japan trip, and today was the day I started moving as well as the party at the Oaks.

We loaded our car with a bunch of my stuff, then Evan showed up so he drove me while my mum drove her friend Susanna and my sister Peggy in the other car. At Neutral Bay we realised we couldn't turn right onto Ben Boyd Road so Evan turned left and left again onto another road to do a U turn back, and when he was turning right, another car came into the intersection really fast and hit us on an angle.

The moment I saw the other car becoming bigger in my vision really fast, all I thought of was "oh shit, how can we get out of this, I think we'll crash" and then it's BANG! The airbags were in our faces and it smelled smokey and a lady from the other car got out and started yelling... something like "what are you doing? we have a baby in here"...

I was hurting a little bit, not very much, and there was a metallic taste in my mouth. We got out of the car, made sure everyone was alright - I don't think anyone in the other car had any injuries but I had a bit of a scrape on my left index finger, my knees felt funny, and the left side of my neck sort of hurt. I got told later that it's seatbelt burn. Evan and the other people took down each other's details, he called the police and someone called the ambulance. All the while Evan kept apologising to everyone.

Then I suddenly figured out why I wasn't seeing very clearly... my glasses were gone. I went back to the car and took a little while to find them in the back seat (I was sitting in the front passenger seat). The emergency people showed up and did their stuff, dumped sand on the road to stop the car oil from leaking into the drainage, then they towed the cars away.

The Artarmon police were apparently stuck elsewhere where there was another accident with someone trapped inside a car. Tired of waiting, they decided to go to the North Sydney police station to do the statements. Since I wasn't driving I figured I'd just go another time if they need me, and I headed to the Oaks for my birthday thing. Which was good. People showed up, we had food, had a good time.

Except my knees really hurt... aside from the scrapes I have a huge bruise on my left leg that's swelling and turning purple and it stings more every time I move my leg. Also I bit on my tongue a little and one of my teeth is a bit shaky. But I'm all good! And maybe the collar bone and my head... yeah.

Most important thing, I got a few photos of the crash. And the people in fluro vests. But not the people in the other car cause they seemed pissed off at us. Can't be bothered putting them up right now, I want sleep.
