I've been told I'm not crafty.
Maybe I'm not. I still feel mildly insulted. Especially with the afghan I've been laboring over sitting there staring at me and wondering why I ran out of yarn.
So I've made a decision. After I take my shower, I'm going to make my cookies, work on my afghan, and when I use up the last of my yarn, buy some more. I am on my last skein, but I didn't expect to go through a whole skein last night at work, so I ran out and had an hour to kill this morning. The afghan was giving me puppy eyes.
And once the afghan is finished, I'll finish some of the crafts I started a while ago. I have one dream catcher to string, and beads to chain, soap to cure, tea to cut, yet another afghan to do but that can be put on hold as it isn't 'crafty', and a few odds and ends to gather.
I also want to gather and dry some blackberry leaves for tea, finish grinding my rose petals, pack a few more boxes, clean my room, study for class, make a trip to Clark in the next week, pay a few bills and work on getting a submission ready for editing and publication.
That's aside from attending class and work.
No, I'm not busy. Yes, I've been feeling a bit sick and sleeping a lot. Why no, I haven't gained weight, I've lost it. The scale said I made an honest 119, minus five for the scale being off and that's 114 lbs. If the scale is wrong on the other end, add 5 and I'm at a decent 124.
So yes, I'm looking forward to camping at the end of the month. Here you go, real life update.
QotD: So like, I'm thinking of taking up chainmail. Because pottery, carving, painting, crochette, cross stitch, beading and misc paper crafts don't count as crafty. So maybe if I spend hours on tiny metal rings making oh, say, Byzantine style chains will boost me up to that coveted position, what do you think? Because lets face it, I can't sew so I have to have a plethora of other things to make up the lost crafty points of not making squares of startched cotton into quilts.
