So lately I've been getting back into the poetry thing and here are a few of the things I wrote to different prompts.


Faith:

Hail Mary full of grace, your God won't save me now
I have found a darker master lord
Enraptured by the way he hums Revelations in my mind
He sings my nightmares away

Hail Mary full of love, your God has turned away
Stars my alter candle-light
He takes my breath and soul, Genesis rewritten
In the tears I shed in ecstasy

Hail Mary mother of light, your God can't have me now
My soul cries hymns of tragedy
He burns my faith into my fragile skin, wings ebony
Give flight to all my fantasy

Hail Mary look at me, your God without a name
My lord binds me with silken chord
Spirit willingly given over, mind and body gifts of love
He shelters me in midnight

Hail Mary can't you see?
Your love is my sin


When it ends:

I want to love you
I want to kiss you
I want to hold you close to my heart
As the lights go out and the world despairs.

I want to touch you
I want to possess you
I want to claim you as my own
As the oceans burn and countries cry.

I want to believe you
I want to see you
I want to tell you the truth of me
As the stars break into the sun.


We are all star dust baby
Born in a summer sky
White hot radiance pouring molten emotion in our cores,

We are born in cosmos
Birthed by sunspots
Darkening the plasmatic skin gracing our fleshly shells.

We are possibility
Probability uncompromised
Absolute existential meaning cast in the shadow of infinity.

We are everything
We are everyone
We are only human baby, and we were made to run.
